C++: native games and applications

Smartphones are advanced mobile phones, dedicated for business and multimedia usage. These phones work on below listed operating systems:

  • Symbian - numerous Nokia models, e.g. N-series and E-series, but also models from other manufacturers
  • Windows Mobile - so-called PDA from various manufacturers, Taiwan HTC leads the market
  • Blackberry - Blackberry
  • Palm OS - Palm
  • Mac OS X - iPhone

According to ABI Research smartphones constitute 10% of all mobile phones today and this percentage is supposed to grow to 31% in 2013. Actually most of smartphone features in regular phones today (camera, e-mail, Internet access, browsing documents, playing multimedia files), however there is one feature, which is still 'booked' for the smartphones: they support advanced games and applications developed in C++.

Smartphones are mostly being used by businessmen, for whom it is a must-have working tool, important no less than a laptop. Being more handy, sometings smartphones even enter laptop's role. Of course to make it happen, smartphone has to be equipped with a nice set of proper applications: e-mail client, office programs, dictionary or currency converter.
