Symbian is one of the most popular smartphone operating systems worldwide despite relative lack of popularity in the US. It powers a variety of devices from simpler Symbian S60 phones with no touchscreens to high-end flagship Nokia smartphones. Because of their competitive prices, S60 devices are often the only smartphones available to some customers in developing countries.
We have experience both developing applications for Symbian^3 devices using the Qt toolkit (these applications can also run on Nokia smartphones running the Maemo operating system) and for other Symbian phones using the Symbian SDK. Besides native applications, Symbian devices can also run Java ME (formerly J2ME) applications which we also develop.
The wide variety of form factors and feature sets of Symbian devices is both an opportunity and a challenge. We have the expertise and test devices needed to deliver Symbian applications which work consistently across different devices and provide a favorable user experience.
