Together with Plus GSM we have launched a news service about Volleyball European Championships. "Mobile Sports Reporter" is a Java application, which is installed in the mobile phone and which downloads current scores. Thanks to it, sports fans can follow sports events live even while being far from the TV, Internet, radio or any other media. Scores updated live were the main feature of the service. Apart from that, application contains rosters of all playing teams, players photos and short CVs.
"Mobile Sports Reporter" is an innovative tool, interesting not only from the consumer's, but also marketer's point of view. Consumer gets an added value (scores updated live via mobile), and accepts the brand to his phone. While updating the application he can receive both: scores and also marketing messages.
Desktop widgets are very popular marketing tool these days, eagerly used by the consumers. It's time for mobile widgets!
